Who can apply to teach at Paideia Academy?
We are looking for experienced, faith-driven educators who are passionate about teaching and mentoring students in a Christ-centered environment. Applicants should have experience in their subject area and be active members of a church community.
What subjects are available to teach?
We offer both core subjects and semester-long enrichment courses, including:

What is the time commitment?
Teachers commit to instructing two days a week (Monday & Wednesday) for a full academic year. Class instruction runs from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM with designated breaks.
Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten & Jr High classrooms will be taught for the duration of the day on both Monday & Wednesday using a complete, comprehensive curriculum.
Lower Elementary (1st-3rd grade) & Upper Elementary (4th-6th grade) will have rotating teachers throughout the day for each subject. For example, if 1st period is History for Lower Elementary, you will then go teach the same content but adjusted for the comprehension level during Upper Elementary 2nd period. We have this model so siblings are on a parallel learning path.
What are the compensation and benefits?
Pre-K Teacher (8:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday & Wednesday): $1,400/month + 50% off tuition for enrolled students (12 classroom & 2 home prep hours / week @ $25/hour)
Kindergarten (8:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday & Wednesday): $1,400/month + 50% off tuition for enrolled students (12 classroom & 2 home prep hours / week @ $25/hour)
Lower & Upper Elementary Subject Teachers (2 hours of teaching on Monday & Wednesday): $600 /month + 50% off tuition for enrolled students (4 classroom & 2 home prep hours / week @ $25 / hour)
Jr. High Instructors: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday & Wednesday): $1,600/month + 50% off tuition for enrolled students (12 classroom & 4 home prep hours / week @ $25/hour)
Do you provide childcare for teachers?
No, Paideia Academy does not offer nursery or childcare services at this time. Teachers with younger children will need to make their own childcare arrangements during teaching hours. However, teachers receive 50% off tuition for their enrolled students.
What is expected from teachers?
Commit to teaching for the full academic year(except in cases of emergency).
Partner with Academic Director to create classroom syllabus as well as homework assignment
Provide high-quality instruction and classroom leadership.
Foster a Christ-centered learning environment.
Uphold and model integrity, curiosity, and faith.
Participate in faculty meetings and school events when necessary.
Are teachers required to follow a specific curriculum?
Yes, Paideia Academy provides the curriculum and lesson framework for core subjects. Teachers are expected to follow the curriculum while bringing their expertise and creativity into lesson planning.
Do I need a teaching degree?
While a formal teaching degree is preferred, we also consider applicants with relevant subject matter expertise, homeschool teaching experience, or private school/co-op instruction backgrounds.
Is there a dress code for teachers?
Yes, teachers are expected to dress professionally and in a manner that reflects the values and standards of Paideia Academy.
